I have loved Rod ( didn’t know we shared this) ever since a teacher loaned me Every Picture Tells a Story. And I love this story, beautifully told and so poignant xx

Actually, I think that it it took until punk/new wave for me to appreciate music for myself, rather then inherit it from John (Tamla Motown / Atlantic / Stax, Small Faces / The Faces / Rod Stewart, Carole King, Elton John, The Who, etc.).
For me, it was The Jam, and In The City. I'd suddenly found my own music!
