Of course, I had to try writing my own eulogy. Good news and bad news on that score.
Bad news: “Yourself” isn’t one of the options when you’re choosing your relationship to the deceased.
Good news: You can set a date in the future—so given my plan not to pop my clogs until the ripe old age of 120, I’m covered in that respect.
More bad news: When I got my sneak peek (before they collected $34 for my “professionally written tribute”), I saw they’d been forward enough to refer to me as Bob. Oh, the nerve of it.
There are only a very small handful of people (all of whom I’ve known for 40 years or more) who get to call me Rob. And no one—no one—has ever called me Bob.
For just $34, you’ll receive:
A Professionally Written Tribute: Generated based on your input and tailored to honor your loved one.
Three Unique Versions: Select from three variations to find the perfect tone and message.
Edit and Refine: Customize the speech as needed to ensure it reflects your voice.
Peace of Mind: Know that you’ve created a meaningful tribute with care and sincerity.
I don't like it when I see people purring out really poor quality content that is clearly AI-generated, but as a writer, I I like that I have AI at my disposal like all of the other tools (word processors, spell checkers, grammar checker, and etc.).
I've found AI really helps me to streamline my writing process (editing, proofreading, and continuity on longer works, etc.), and allowing me to focus on creativity.
EulogyLab feels like the spiritual cousin of those “skip ad in 5…4…3…” countdowns. Even our goodbyes are on a clock now.

You are just so good! ❤️
Thanks, Margaret!
I have a feeling that EulogyLab may be making more appearances in Brittle Views. Maybe Cousin Em can share her perspective. 😊

Excellent, Robert! How did you feel about "co-authoring" with AI?
