Article voiceover
she said
you’re safe here
but her body
was already leaving
you mistook silence
for care
absence
for space
you gave
she watched
you waited
she drifted
she asked for nothing
and took everything
you apologized
before feeling
you stopped asking
called it growth
you became fluent
in almost
she called it
peace
you said yes
even when it
sounded like leaving yourself
she said
don’t take this
the wrong way
you learned
there is no right way
to need
she left the door open
just enough
you stayed
for the version of you
she almost saw
you called it love
because naming it
would break you
she said
i never promised
you nodded
still holding
the echo
you don’t ask now
but you still listen
you know
where safe does not live
We all need to read and learn from this poem. Thanks, Robert.
