That scene in the hospital is all to familiar to me either being in the bed, or visiting someone else in the bed and having to take care of everyone else.
Thanks, J.T. Writing this novel stirred up so many 'circle of life' memories from when my Dad was in that very same hospice. Sitting with him, watching the quiet rituals of care and connection unfold—it all came rushing back. Many of those moments ended up finding their way into the story.
